MISSION/EVANGELISM

WE HAVE BEEN COMMISSIONED BY JESUS WHEN HE SAID, “ALL POWER IS GIVEN UNTO ME IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH. GO YE THEREFORE, AND TEACH ALL NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:

TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER I HAVE COMMANDED YOU, AND LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, EVEN UNTO THE END OF THE WORLD.” MT. 28:18-20

NIGERIAN MISSION
Coordinator: Choice Dudley

In 1997, Bro. Eno Otoyo and his wife LaVera were invited to come to NTCC to share with us the need for financial assistance for the mission works in Nigeria. Churches of Christ primarily in Texas and California, including NTCC and a host of individual donors now support this work.

Bro. Otoyo works with the Normandie Ave. Church of Christ in Los Angeles where all funds are collected and deposited for the NIGERIAN MISSION. We are presently supporting THE CHRISTIAN TECHNICAL SCHOOL in Oyubia, Oron, established in 1971. This school was originally constructed to accommodate 600 students. The need to construct an assembly hall to accommodate crowds of 1500 are acute and urgent.

KENYA MISSION

NTCC became involved with the KENYA MISSION through our former interim Minister, Bro.Terry Childers. He and his wife Essie were affiliated with the Memorial Road Church of Christ, Edmond, Oklahoma, and after twenty years, have returned to NTCC. We presently support two missionaries. Bro. Ken Beckloff and his wife Pat are both very sound in the doctrine and are members of the Memorial Road Church of Christ.

There was only one congregation in Mombassa, Kenya, in the area of Changamwe, and in 1996, the Kisauni church was established. As of 2003, six congregations are being planted in the city of Mombassa, which has a population of nearly one million.

Thanks to Terry and Essie Childers for their spiritual vision, financial contributions, and missionary work to see these seeds come to fruition.
